The Melitta coffee maker we are reviewing here is the line of single-serve pod coffee makers called One:One. You'll find that this is a reasonably priced single-serve pod coffee and tea system, and depending on your taste, it produces consistently good coffee and tea.

As with any pod coffee system, the Melitta coffee maker is not going to produce gourmet coffee shop quality coffee. You'll have to experiment with coffee pods from different coffee roasters to find a taste you like, but once you've settled on a brand and flavor, you may not get the best cup of coffee you've ever had, but you'll get a consistently excellent cup of coffee.

The single-serve pod Melitta coffee maker has its own recommended line of coffee pods, but you can use the pods of any maker such as Millstone, Green Mountain, Podhead, Folgers, Maxwell House, Cooper, and others. To avoid leakage, just make sure that the non-Melitta coffee maker pod is carefully packed in level so the paper filter is not sticking over the pod holder.

You'll have to "prime" the single-serve Melitta coffee maker with it's first use, but don't let this freak you out. It is simply a matter of filling the water reservoir, push the on button, then push both of the two serving size buttons at the same time. A few seconds later you'll be ready for coffee. If you haven't used your Melitta coffee maker in awhile, you'll probably have to prime it again, but this is a simple matter to take care of.

Based on my research the majority of people who own a Melitta coffee maker are reasonably well pleased. Negatives have to do with the small water tank and occasional leakage, but water leakage is not an uncommon problem with coffee makers.

Some people are disappointed with the coffee taste, but that really has nothing to do with the Melitta coffee maker itself, rather it is more a matter of taste preference. The majority of people using the single-serve pod Melitta coffee maker are very satisfied with the quality of coffee taste once they've found the right brand of coffee pod.

On the positive side, the Melitta coffee maker has a small footprint on your kitchen counter, freeing up valuable space. It is very reasonably priced and you can get consistently excellent quality coffee. As with all pod coffee, clean up is a breeze and the Melitta One:One is no exception. While not for everyone, overall the Melitta coffee maker is an excellent choice.
