K Cup Coffee - The Right Choice For You?
K Cup Coffee is one of the newest coffee options on the market today. It was introduced by Keurig Brewers. The K
Cup Coffee system is a single-cup brewing system with coffee packaged inside an air-tight plastic container that
has its own built-in filter.
Do keep in mind that the K Cup will only fit in the Keurig single-serve coffee machine, so your choice of coffee
maker is limited to the models produced by Keurig Brewers.
When the K Cup is placed in the coffee brewer, the top and bottom of the cup are pierced and pressurized hot
water is forced through the container. Like pod coffee makers, this system produces a consistent cup of coffee and
clean up is simply throwing away the K Cup. From my research I've found that people generally prefer the
quality of K Cup Coffee over the pod coffee system.
There are a wide variety of gourmet coffee and tea options with the K Cup Coffee system. Keurig Brewers has
licensed the technology to well-known tea and coffee makers and the result had been the introduction of a large
selection of flavors for coffee and tea lovers, although not quite as large of a selection as is available for
pod users.
Another advantage is that you aren't locked in to only being able to use K Cup Coffee. A filter is available to
fit the Keurig single-serve coffee machine and you can grind and use whatever coffee your prefer. You'll have to
deal with cleaning the filter, but by buying regular coffee you can save a considerable amount of money, assuming
you're not buying the most expensive beans on the market. Of course, you do need to make certain that the filter
you buy will fit your Keurig model coffee maker.
If you're looking for fast, convenient, consistently good tasting coffee, and minimal clean up, then you've
probably found your coffee system. With new varieties of K Cup Coffee and tea being introduced by Green Mountain
Coffee Roasters, Diedrich, Gloria Jeans, Tully's, Timothy's, Newman's Own, and Van Houtte, you'll not be short on a
selection of coffee and tea to choose from. The K Cup Coffee system looks to be a winner.
